The feeling of having the life I want to live...

My journey from a mental health crisis totally derailing my life plans to having a life I truely am in love with and excited about began with a journal entry on a new moon. I took a moment to imagine how it would feel to have the life I wanted to be living.
This became my compass for finding my path. Imagining that feeling helped me to recognize the fleeting moments I had it and take steps to create more and more of those moments.
One of those moments was when I moved to Bend a little over a year after that new moon. I began to ask everyone what this feeling would be for them and I made this art piece to combine and magnify our desire for the feeling and it turned into the piece at the top of this post. Like most of my art this piece is filled with things that symbolize what I was feeling, processing and dreaming about at the time and I think the overall effect is similar to what happens in my favorite conversations.
I love to find out what makes people feel alive. It's entirely fascinating to me because we are all so unique in our answers to these questions but there is something beautiful and consistent across each response. This thing may be impossible to describe but I love it deeply because when we are connected to that which makes us feel most alive... we actually live.
This is why I've been training to become a life coach, to have more of those conversations, to help clients see how recreation can help you recreate your life into one you really truly want to live.
So,

Utilize Curiosity Creativity and Kindness
Defend the Sacred
Stay Brilliant
and Recreate
