TRUST

Imagine a sand castle.
A wave, another, a whole tide washes it away
And you build again.
It's futile sure, but while the work disappears, the effort lost,
the skills remain.
You began with a mound of wet sand.
Satisfied with its simple ability to stick together.
It's destroyed
Over time, after many many tides
You build a fucking masterpeice.
It's destroyed
but
the skills remain.
Sand each grain like a moment
Some moments slide by un-noticed
but most define your life.
Water can be adhesive or destructive
Time is relentless
things always change always grow
but
as we grow
the skills remain.
Fortunately our lives are
more dynamic
less binary than simply existing or not existing
As we pass through the tides we are not destroyed
we are in-fact strengthened
and
the skills we build stay with us
this you can rely on
TRUST
Wether we apply it to our selves our situation our partner our people.
It is a feeling of safety and predictability that develops over time
It is slow to build
It is nice to have
It is hard to loose
But it is more a belief than an indicator
You can have it while waves of lies pick away the grains of sand.
It is always an illusion.
A very powerful and necessary illusion that is
central to the skill of constructing a life.
Regardless of wether the water is adhesive or destructive in your reality.
Your vision and skill collide in every moment with an opportunity to choose.
Will you construct or destroy the illusion?
Either way you only control you.
But the fact that you can do that much..
well...
It's enough to build a hell of a life.
You have what it takes to create what you want
GO FOR IT
and while your at it, don't forget to
Play often
Utilize Curiosity Creativity and Kindness
Defend the Sacred
Stay Brilliant
and maybe go play with the ocean.
